Maple Pecan Bars
Did I mention maple season is my favorite!
Here’s another great maple recipe you need to try! If you love pie and maple syrup this one’s for you. I must warn you thou, its really sweet and you will want to eat the whole pan. I suggest making them for a party that way you won’t have to make two batches because you couldn’t resist.
I made these because I was feeling in the mood to try something new and I really love pecan pie so I though why not. And boy am I glad I gave them a try! I don’t think I will be making them again until we have a party to go to because I don’t want to eat the whole pan. These bars are super rich and moist.
One of the best parts is that the ingredients were already in my kitchen. Making them more dangerous to make. All you need is flour, brown sugar, butter, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, and pecans.
First things first you will need a 13x9 pan. You can either line with parchment paper or non-stick spray. I used Reynolds wrap non-stick pan lining paper.
First you’re going to start with the crust. I mixed flour, brown sugar, and butter in a medium bowl.
Pour the mixture in the pan. Using a spoon press down the crust to make it firm before placing it in the oven. Bake the crust for 17 minutes at 350 degrees.
While the crust is baking start working on the filling. In a medium bowl combine eggs, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and pecans. Once the crust is done pour filling mixture over top and place back in the oven for 22 minutes. The bars should be firm and not jigging
Last but not least enjoy!
