Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

I call these my ultimate chocolate chip cookies because they are ultimately the last and only recipe for chocolate chip cookies you will ever need.  You can thank me later.  I love how not only do they have lots of chocolate chips but they have so many white chocolate chips as well.  As you can guess my favorite part of chocolate chip cookies are the chocolate chips.

I started by preheating the oven to 350 degrees then getting out a large bowl to start the cookie dough.  In the large bowl I combined the wet ingredients; butter, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.  Then I added brown sugar, salt, and white sugar.  After that was well combined I added in the baking soda and cornstarch.

I forget to mention I tend to mix my cookie dough by hand as to not over mix.  If you use a mixer make sure you stop when it comes to adding the chocolate.  You are going to want to fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles by hand or else they tend to break apart.

Next I stir in the flour.  Lastly it is time to add both kinds of chocolate chips and sprinkles to the dough, fold these in.   Then I lined a cookie sheet with parchment paper and scooped out 2 tablespoons of cookie dough rolled into a ball and placed them on the cookie sheet.  To make the perfect round shaped cookies without a mountain top press slightly down on the tops of each dough ball with your fingers to help flatten the top.  Each cookie should be placed at least an inch all the way around from another cookies.

Bake in oven for about 13 minutes.  Allow to cool on pan for about 2 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.  Once completely cooled you may eat them plain or decorate them with buttercream frosting.  Either way you can’t go wrong!
